Tales of the Finish Line #1 | 22nd Annual Run/Walk for Hospice of St. Mary’s

My first race of 2017 was on a weirdly cold April morning. (It was like 34°F.) My cousin, Katie, and I were running the 22nd Annual Run/Walk for Hospice of St. Mary’s. Over 300 people came out to run or walk to the 5k, and over 100 people there for the 10k.

I was trotting along, my fave running jam came on, and I was doing great!
Then…a wild hill appeared.

Uphill winded me. When it comes to running, once I lose control of my breathing, I really struggle to get it back. I’m actually quite proud of the fact that while the hill winded me, a quick walk and repeating my fave running jam, and I was back in the game!

The post-race Starbucks Grande Soy Vanilla Latte and a cup of my favorite siggi’s yogurt was amazing.

xoxo,
